27 Meg Radio to be Phased Out in 2015

Robert Milner, Donvale, Friday, 26 August 2011

27 Meg Radio to be Phased Out in 2015

27 Meg Radio is to be phased out during the next 3½ years from a yachting perspective..  Category 6: (Short races close to shore in relatively warm or protected waters, normally held in daylight) will now include mobile telephones and/or club preferred VHF radio as a required radio in the new YA Special regulations to be introduced in 2013.  The purpose of this notice is to alert Yacht owners and Clubs of the proposed changes.
